Committed to reinventing the prestige standing of the five-star hotel, YUIMOM Group chairman Shao Yung-Tien launched Silks Club in 2017. It has received global recognition for its seductive blend of style, hospitality and five-star comfort since then. These include winning Best Cutting-edge Design Award at The Best D.E.S.I.G.N Hotel Awards and the IES Illumination Awards of Merit in 2018, as well as the 2019 World Luxury Hotel Awards - Global Winner of Luxury Art Hotel and Continent Winner of Luxury All Suite Hotel in Asia. Situated in the Kaohsiung's Asia New Bay Area, the all-suite boutique hotel comprises 147 rooms, starting from 59 sq. m. The large ceiling-to-floor windows in each room invite you to savour the striking city view. All rooms are furnished with natural Northern American oak wood and Angora honed marble imported from South Africa, creating an ambiance of warmth, style and sophistication.
Boasting a simple yet subtle aesthetic, Silks Club was curated by Yaman Shao, the e chief executive officer of ALIEN Art. The hotel houses a 4D kinetic installation in the ground floor lobby, the artwork Dancing Particles is designed by the renowned German Studio ART+COM. Entering the lobby entrance of the 28th floor you are met with Lunar Watch, a sculpture designed by the Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson. More artworks can also be found throughout the hotel, created by 200 promising new artists, both local and international, thanks to the Project 168. It aims to promote the art of this land and create an international forum for art exchange. Artworks created by Chairman Shao Yung-Tien and CEO Yaman Shao are also on display in the hotel.
